I know I said I'd be back yesterday with a real post but I'm pretty backed up right now with work & trying to figure out the childcare situation, so I need a little break.  We toured a couple of daycare/ preschools  yesterday and I'm feeling pretty good about 1 so we'll see how it goes.  For now I'll just leave you with an image I got from one of my favorite reads, Head Over Heels.    It's perfect for the beginning of Fall and I cannot get over that velvet.  So sumptuous & beautifully aged!!  (I'm not sure I've actually used "sumptuous" in a sentence before but could think of no other word!)

xoxo,
lauren

Good luck on the new business venture! I just put my daughter in preschool a few weeks ago...I must have gone to 15 different ones before I made a decision!! I hope you find one that fits all your needs and your little ones too!

While the decision to put your babies in daycare is a tough one, things are moving in a positive way for you which will work out for your entire family. Enjoy these hectic and busy times because, before you know it they will be leaving for college and you think daycare is hard!! Cant wait to see the new store.

Yay!! Go Lauren!! I've been so excited to hear more about this project of yours... And I'm 100% sure you'll be happy with the childcare situation. Stella will begin in the same daycare as Indie next month and I'm very excited/nervous to see how it goes.

Wow! You have the dream life (except for having to figure all the details like childcare...Ugh!} I wish I was not so far away in Boston so I could visit your shop when it opens! I have family in MD, so next time I visit I may swing by. It sounds sooo amazing and a dream come true for you! I am sure you have alot of hard work ahead of you but you are young and have so much support....your hubby!

Good luck Lauren and all the best with your new venture! You will be great!

Lauren - Not kidding - my kids were both talking about one of their pre-school teachers just 5 minutes ago. (eventhough they are 5 yrs apart they had pretty much the exact same teachers) They went to the Childrens School in Arlington VA and have the fondest memories. Ryan went when he was 6 mo old and Julia was 9 months.

The store is going to be amazing- I'm hoping there will a big opening party!!

Good luck sorting the preschool situation out -- I'd imagine it's very stressful trying to find the perfect place for your babies!

And I can't wait to see what you do with your showroom (how exciting!).

Good luck with the showroom! I was a showroom manager at the Dallas Market Center for 5 years until recently. It's hard work, but worth it.

Lauren, that is awesome, I'm pumped for this new chapter in your life--it is going to be a total success!!!

For me, the best childcare advice I received was to be open to being flexible. We tried a few options before we found a school we liked, and while not all were great, none of them hurt our children.

And now, we're shaking it all up again...but it feels right to do at this point in our lives. You seem like you have great intuition, I would trust that.

Good luck! Can't wait to visit the store, and I second Michele's hope for a launch party :)
