A couple of years ago, I stumbled up the land of design blogs & was ADDICTED. I had no idea what a blog really even was and started mine, Pure Style Home, on a whim, never thinking anyone but me & my grandmother would read it. (And for a while, it WAS just the two of us ;) ;) But it's now become so much more to me: it's the place where I gather inspiration, share ideas & design projects, and write about the things that I love. I never expected to meet so many like-minded people & friends, and am constantly amazed by the generosity & creativity of people in blogland.
Together with my husband, I run an interior design studio and a textile company, Lauren Liess Textiles, in Northern Virginia (just outside of Washington, DC) where we live with our 3 boys (Christian, 4, Justin, 2 & brand new baby Luke) and our dog, Ashby.

"Home" is really important to me. It's the place where we can relax, be ourselves and spend quality time with the people we care about. Home doesn't have to be pefect -I know mine isn't- just loved.

On the blog, I share my thoughts on design, running a design business, fabric design, clients' projects, how-tos, simple pleasures, projects we do in our own home and sometimes the stresses, mistakes & not-so-pretty stuff.
