Although I think the current fabric is pretty, it's not what I'm going for and so I'm having it reupholstered in something else for a new project of ours that I'm working on.
{Of course I love that green velvet in back!!}
Will keep you posted!!
As a decorator & a textile designer, this is my place to muse... perfection doesn't interest me; Reality and charm do. Fresh floppy flowers from the garden over long-stemmed roses any day, I love it when things are slightly off and tell a story.

It's gorgeous! There is something about chairs that I love...chairs and fabric! Thanks for the Miss Pixie recommendation...will have to pop in there soon. Can't wait to see the chair transformation...

I absolutely love that chair! I would have bought it too. I know what you mean by the fabric, although it is beautiful--especially the green velvet back.

LOVE it - what a great find! I love the green velvet but I understand having to reupholster.
Can't wait to see pics of it finished for your project!
What a great find! It has some kind of Dorothy Draper meets Alice in Wonderland feel to it. You're going BOLD with the upholstery, I hope ;) It just seems to need something dynamic to hold up to those strong curves. Whatever you do with it - it's sure to look fabulous, Lauren.

Love it. Can't wait to see what you choose? I bet you keep the back then add like vintage grain sack on the front. Whatever you do, it will be beautiful!

Interesting shape, who made it, do you know?

That is a really great chair!
I love the chair already but with new upholstery you can make it stylish & sexy. Really curious about your choice of fabric.

What a great find, Lauren. Your chair has a wonderful shape. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it! xo Brooke
Like the others, I'm anxious to see what you do. I like the decorative tacks but that is sooooo labor intensive but you don't seem like a gimp girl either.
It's beautiful! What a great find. I love its broad back and slender arms...what a treasure.
xoxoTrina
Fabulous find! I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Beautiful chair...love your blog and I'm now a follower!

I love this chair! I still regret not getting a similarly shaped chair at our flea market months ago. It's funny, but the chair fabric is the same as my parent's living room sofa fabric from the 70's (which they still have, by the way). So, I would change it too!
Love your blog!
