Outdoor Harvest Table

Last week my husband, Dave, surprised me with a huge truckload of weathered old barnwood.  A barn nearby had fallen down and the owners were looking to unload some of the wood...  And he made a massive (15 plus feet) outdoor harvest table!!

We currently have no place to put it but are working on a gravel or stone patio to put underneath of it asap.  (This is why I didn't take any full shots-  it's not so pretty right now but I promise to get some good ones as soon as I can! :)  We simply picked out the pieces we wanted and screwed them together and set the table top on 3 steel sawhorses.  Besides the thing weighing a million pounds, it was a really simple project and doable in only a few hours.

Hope you enjoyed and can't wait to share pretty pics of it!!

 xoxo, Lauren

I love your table. My husband and I found old barnwood last weekend at a barn sale in MI. We also found 6 vintage solid wood chairs to go with it. I am hoping to start our project this month! Any suggestions for standard table height?

Ohhhh how rustic, simple and beautiful. Great to see the wood repurposed. I vote for a gravel patio to put it on!

What a great idea and cheap too! Are you going to stain it? OR at least water treat it so you don't lose it again in five years?

Oh my, so after 44 posts' and 1543 followers, not even sure you'll see my post but will write anyway:)
This blog is WONDERFUL! I don't know why its taken me so long to find it first of all and second, the harvest table is great just the way it is. It has that rustic Tuscan style.
My husband just got similar old barn wood from his dad's old saw mill and we were going to cut it smaller and make coffee/end tables out of it but after seeing this I hate to cut it up...
I'm now FOLLOWING you and would like tp invite you to come FOLLOW me at LaBella Vie, it would be a honor to have you as a FOLLOWER.
Most Sincerely,
Terry

Love the table! Looking forward to hearing about the stone/gravel patio too. I've been trying to do the same at my house but can't seem to pull the trigger quite yet. I LOVE the look but our house is in the woods so it would be a never ending battle with the twigs and leaves from the surrounding trees! I know whenever you get it the way you want it will be Gorgeous!
