Pure Organization Project #11: Make the Switch

We ended up not going anywhere for our Spring Break & just hung at home & enjoyed the sights our area has to offer.  We got so much JUNK cleared out of the house (even after only a year we have way too much!!!) and started a few more organizational projects.

I might be a little late on this, but this week's project is to make the "Switch" from Winter clothes to Spring clothes.  Hit your closet,  your kids closets {if you have them}, and the coat closet.

It's such a great feeling... Spring clothes & coats take up so much less room thanWinter ones!

We still haven't made our bedroom closet "pretty."  (It's more than not "pretty"...  things accumulate in it because I have yet to find a place for everything.  It actually kind of stresses me out, but not nearly as much as it did when we first moved in.)

...so the closet's on my list...

...as soon as we get the chance!

lauren

I could see a "cedar" closet at your home for your imaginary winter wardrobe! Thanks for the inspiration.

I finished my little one's closet last weekend and was hoping to get to mine this weekend but I was too busy gardening. Can't wait to put the boots and cashmere away and pull out the tank dresses and flip flops- yay!
Hope you had a great holiday weekend.

Hi Lauren, I started last week. I got all my Spring clothes out and washed them and then it got cold and rainy so I can't put up the winter things so now I have it all in my closet,Yikes!! Sometimes my walk-in closet gets so messy , I call it a throw-in closet. You are not alone in the messy closet area. Have a good day, Kathysue

It sounds like a great idea, but this is what our weekend looked like:

Adorable clothes! I'd like that wardrobe too! I have the tiniest closet in the house. Strange how that happens. I share your closet frustration!

I know what you're saying when you said that your "not so pretty" closet stresses you out... I feel that way about mine, but after 6 months of being in our new home, I get less stressed every new day! ;) Ashlee

What pretty clothes! I just purged all of my winter things that no longer fit well, or I didn't wear much and off they went to be donated. Now there's room for more Spring/Summer things, right?! LOL!!! :) Hope you had a wonderful Easter!
Blessings,
Stacey

I just finished my kids' closets--whew! Now I know what I need to buy to round out this season's wardrobe for them. Oh, they just LOVE this twice a year process of trying on all their clothes to see what still fits--ha! A joke, of course. ;)

Cute picks from Anthro!

I just did the "switch" but I am still in the process of getting rid of some clothes I no longer wear. I actually just posted about it on my blog!

I'm going to do this now. Well, with my shoes. I am limited on clothes until this little one arrives in just a few weeks!!

I have yet to make the switch in my closet and I am totally dreading it, its such a pain to do. Although I really do need to get rid of a ton of stuff, so I guess now is a good time to get it over with :)
