Wallpapering Is Hard To DO-O...

(That's being sung to the tune of "Breaking up is hard to do!")

Dave installed the breakfast nook wallpaper last night... AFTER mowing the lawn, accompanying me & providing the man-power on a Home Depot trip to buy shrubs/ trees and 3 huge bails of hay and finally, digging holes for 2 tree-shrubs (don't know the name, just that they were tall & are helping it make as if people live inside our house!) and 5 rhododendron bushes. He really deserves a medal after the past few months.

I'm loving it!!!! (He said it was really hard to install and wants to hire a professional for the hallway... I'm okay with the few wrinkles you can barely see!) Next up: baseboards & bamboo roman shade installation & crystal sconce installation (and then of course some pretty things/ accessories) and I'll show more pics when it's all done next week. Anyway, have a great weekend & will be back Monday!!! :)
xoxo,

lauren

ps- Michele from My Notting Hill was at the Pear Tree Cottage Design Seminar & did a great (and very sweet!!!) post on it here Thanks so much for coming Michele!!

Very pretty! Great choice! And that man deserves a break already!!
I'm in the process of wallpaper removal. I don't know what's more frustrating... trying to hang it well or trying to get it all off! Neither is any fun at all. I would hire a pro hanger in a second if I were hanging instead of scraping.

Wow! Does your husband ever sleep? The two of you have gotten so much done in so little time! Congrats!

Love the wallpaper, along with everything else you are doing to your home! Your style rocks!

That looks wonderful!! What a lucky girl!! My husband would like to be able to help more, but we have never worked with wallpaper before and I always like the patterns that would be really hard. Some day.... I look forward to seeing all of your new plantings. I have to do that soon, but I am still trying to avoid it!! :)

Oh sweetie! It's looks fab! I love everything. I've been so swamped this week that this is the only second I've had to actually write a comment.

The floors also came out great. Dave is amazing! I hope his first week of school went well.

It looks like the Pear Tree Cottage seminar went really well. That's so exciting. Wish I could have been there to see it all!

Sorry about your can of worms with the client. Ah! Stress! I totally agree with everything you said. I'm going through something similar right now. Still trying to decide if I'll take on the client. At least in your case the client is still happy and you are working on adding a bit more to the budget to get her what she wants in extra pillows etc.

Ok now I think those were about all the comments I wanted to make all week.

We must chat on the phone soon! I miss ya and the sound of your voice. We need to make time. So much to talk about!

xoxo,

Camila

Lauren, it is beautiful. What a lovely choice. I need your Dave to talk to my Dave about helping more with decor projects. You got yourself a total keeper there darling. I know you know it.

You are such a cutie pie - saw your sweet pic on Michele's blog and what a lovely course you lead. Glad it all went well and wish I could have attended! See you in a WEEK!!! OMG. ; )

It looks wonderful and what a brave husband you have, hanging patterned wallpaper himself!

My husband was put to work this weekend too, building the wardrobe in the baby's room...
