9 Years ago today...

I was a college junior at JMU.

{Yeah National VB Champs!}

9 years ago today ...  a bouquet of thistle & roses was delivered to my apartment door with a note from the cute boy I liked in my Creative Writing Class.

9 years ago today..  The cute boy took me out on a "Surprise" Valentine's Day date to see Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

9 years ago today...  The cute boy cooked me one of the worst steaks of my life & smoked out his kitchen:

9 years ago today...  my husband asked me to be his girlfriend.

{The very dirty & wet garage where beer pong typically ensued}

And for the past 9 years, we've grown up together.

He's my best friend in the whole world & I love the family & the life we've made together.

Happy Valentine's Day to you & yours.

Hi Lauren,
I'm your newest follower. I love your post; going down memory lane about how you and your husband met. It brought tears to my eyes. I've been with my fiancee for 20 years! and we have many sweet old photos like this; where does the time go?
Anyway, love your blog and your style. I'm a design student and you inspire me!
Have a great week,
Jenah
