The wardrobe I want

So a month or two ago, a new (to me) catalogue arrived at my house.  Gorsuch.  I fell in love.  Like really fell in love...  I didn't want everything... Just a few things...  all of which had commas in their price tags, so none of them will be coming home to me.   BUT, this little blog is my place to dream and so dream I will...  I wish for:

{I'd wear this at least once a week.. probably more.}

I'm definitely a believer in buying quality over quantity and wearing what I love over & over -which is why I'm often wearing the same things in pics! ;)-     I still have clothes from high school and I've learned the hard way to buy only what I love.  (I still make an impluse Target purchase every now & then and regret it...  I've also made some of my favorite purchases there too but it's easy for me to get sidetracked by their low prices and buy stuff I don't love.)  I consider things I really love and feel like "me" worthwhile purchases, but unfortunately these Gorsuch items are all still out of my price range.

And below, I want this whole outfit....  Aviators are my friends.  sweaterdress?  scarf? belt?  A-mazing.  Suede coat?  meeeeeeeow:

And I want to wear it in the wilderness and pitch a tent like her.

This blouse has the most beautiful detailing....

{Uhhhh.. love the sleeves!!!!}

{Really????? Come to me!!}

And finally....  I just loooooooooooove this coat and have been thinking about it since I first saw it.  Look at its bell sleeves.  So pretty....

I'll take the faux fur 3-digit version of this please ;)

...So...  none of these are coming home with me, but has anyone seen anything similar?

Thanks so much to everyone for the sweet comments & emails about the BHG spread!!  It really makes my day and I feel so supported by my blog friends. Thank you :)

xoxo, Lauren

I feel the same way!, I looove their stuff except for animal furr masses,, kind of too much for me,, i would definitely go for to foux version knowing the animal wasn't analy electricuted so that someone could wear it ;-/ sad but true.

* There's not TOO much like GORSUCH!!! (HEY, Lauren! That RHYMES!!! Well!)...

I made a few wonnnderful purchases for the house at "G" a few years years ago, & now receive their oh-so-breathtakingly beautiful catalog... it doesn't appear they're carrying much, if any, "house stuff" anymore, which is soooo sad (but FAB on the budget!)! I DID call last year tho, & WAS able to buy two fantabulous silver trays w/ staghorn handles on them... and for a good SALE price, no less!

Hang onto that "FUN dream", Lauren... There's a time n' a place for just about everything, and your day will come... if you really want IT TO!!! And you certainly seem to have the "right" figure for it all, too!!!

Blessings,

I too have day dreamed about several of their pieces. Last year about this time I snapped a few pictures of some of my favorite things and sent them to my boyfriend as a Christmas wish list. He responded rather quickly with, "Oh babe, you are such a dreamer." Ha. Worth a shot I guess.

Love your choices, every season, I try to just buy one outfit or ensemble that can be worn often and mixed with jeans. You can always select one thing you love and build on it, just the same way you design a room!
Have things made or try to make them yourself! You did a great job on the Buffy outfit!

I can so relate to the seeing yourself in some gorgeous piece of clothing. With college coming for my kids in the next few years, my teeny clothing budget is something I'd rather spend on my home's clothes (decorating), however! I splurge on my makeup -- I figure people see my face first, so I treat myself there. I do believe, though, that if you see yourself in something, it will be yours. Someday. :) Good things come to those who work hard, and you do!

Hey- They have GREAT sales... so watch and hold out! By the way if they read your post they will probably hire you to model for them next year... this year's gal is a dead-ringer for you. Maybe then you'll just get everything on trade! Good luck... and serious about their sales!

Oh Gorsuch, yes, I shop there all the time!!! NOT! ;-) I have never heard of it but popped over from your link and the first sweater I looked at was like $2400, yikes! Think I'll stick to the Goodwill, hee hee!
You would look awesome in those outfits you chose! I love the frilly blouse best.
Sometimes I think it would be fun, for just a week, to shop with no limit and not have to look at price tags.....

I received the same catalog and had chosen a few lovely items but then I looked at their prices and about fainted. Needless to say like you I won't be getting anything but their items are beautiful!

My husband loves the "Gorsuch Girls". I think that is why he bought a beautiful Tiroler Jacket for me, this way he is assured of always receiving another catalog.

Those clothes would look so pretty on you. Instead of worrying about your boys' college education, tell them they need to get scholarships. Or they can get student loans & be in debt forever like the rest of us. Can't you take out a second mortgage? There has to be a way to buy these clothes. Tell David to get a second job. I think you should treat yourself.

I absolutely love what you picked! I was in their Vail store this past summer and ooohed and aaahed my way through every corner! Imagine my delight several weeks ago when I happened upon a beautiful Gorsuch black and red plaid coat at my local (in Pennsylvania) consignment store for $54! And my size too! Came right home with me and I adore it!

You never know where you might find a Gorsuch just for you...check ebay!

Love the Gorsuch goodies too. I keep their catalog handy just for dreaming of having their romantic looking wardrobe too. And I'm a "Mimi!" (aka Grandmother!) But still a girly girl. I did spy a somewhat similar coat at Bloomies. But that was a few years ago. I came close to snatching it up too only it sold out before I could decide to make the purchase and I've regretted it ever since. Maybe you could find someone to creative and make the faux fur version for you? I mean, we design our homes and have sofas made and drapes, and lighting. Why not splurge on a custom made faux fur coat? And you already look like a Gorsuch model!
