Have a Beautiful Weekend!!

I'm not gonna lie.  What's going on in my living room (above) is making me yearn a bit for Spring.  My paperwhites are shooting up (I still have to make a run to the liquor store for some alcohol to add to the water to keep the stalks from being too leggy-  we're all out since I've been pregnant haha!- and we don't have any rubbing alcohol.)  and I pulled out some throw pillows in a vintage-inspired floral I've had for years.  (It pays to have a ton of fabrics in my favorite color -GREEEEEEEEEN- around ;)

Have a beautiful weekend & if you have any free time, maybe give Project #1 a shot & be sure to send me a pic if you do!! (Sadly I only have 1 right now but it's a beauty!! I'll need the pics by Sun evening if you want them in the post on Monday :)  Enjoy the weekend!!!

xoxo,
lauren

Lauren, while I hope Spring comes soon for you, that will mean it will be Autumn here soon (and that means COLD for me!)-bittersweet really :) Your post pic is gorgeous, I really love your green sofa and that gorgeous cushion. Thanks again for starting your organisation projects, I can't wait to see what is next on the list :) Have a wonderful weekend! - Tx

Lauren,
I have been into paperwhites for years, including buying them for my mother as well. Its fun to have them cheerfully come alive After the holidays since January can be something of a letdown. I did not know that adding alcohol to the soil would prevent the "leggy syndrome". thanks for the tip!!

Lovely! I hope to get my act together enough next year to force my own bulbs at the right time--it's so cheery. My next question is how do you keep Christian from bothering it? I have 1 and 2 year old boys and we have to live without any little pretties at their height right now!

I am with Tina. If you get Spring too quickly, we get Autumn. I love Autumn, but it just means the cold is around the corner. Might have to try to do this forcing thing with paperwhites. They would look great in an old urn I have with moss.
Have a warm weekend Lauren.

I have secretly been excited for Spring too! I'm the girl who is excited for winter (Christmas mainly) ALL year! So I started to feel a little guilty for cheating on winter and looking forward to Spring already!

PS. LOVE your green velvet sofa! I'm so into that color right now!

I love bringing little bits of Spring inside on frigid days like today. I am even thinking of framing a collection of seasonal illustrations just to inspire me myself and i.

Your coat closet looks dreamy. Love the idea for winter essentials on the door.

I have a question about paint samples. I tried to store mine (in old plastic food containers...nothing pretty). Did my best to stir up the can before pouring, then stirred when I pulled out the tub years later to touch up. Only to my dismay I found the color had changed and had much more of a sheen on it. What did I do wrong? Not stir enough? It was quite discouraging, as I still have paint touch-ups around my kitchen that are completely evident, to me at least.
