Baby & Blog Plans

Today I'm looking for your feedback. I'm due to have another one of these on Christmas Eve:
I'm planning on keeping Pure Style Home up & running, but I will definitely be needing to take a small step back for a little while. My goal is to have at least 3 posts a week: 1-2 from me & I've had some very sweet blogger friends agree to help with some guest blogging. ( I think you'll be very excited!!) My plan is to have 1 guest blogger per week. What I would love to know is what you'd like to see from them. (image below from Eddie Ross)

-Before & Afters?

-Pics & explanations of design choices in a favorite room they've designed? (kind of like the ones I do when we finish a project)

-Something about their design philosophies?

-And my brain is shutting down (eek!) so would love your ideas here!!

And also, I don't have my whole list of guest bloggers yet & haven't contacted anyone yet (just in the very beginning stages & a few friends offered which is what started this idea) so can you let me know of anyone you'd like to see & maybe I can ask & see what they say?

Thanks so much & I can't wait to hear your ideas!!

xoxo,

lauren

ps- thanks so much for all your really sweet feedback regarding our kitchen!! it made my day- no week!!! :)

I have been loving your blog for wuite a few months now. I hope Christmas bringing baby home goes well and smoothly.
As for the blog I always love before and afters. Also,I love those "how to make your own headboard" type of posts.(but something different)

I would love some more ideas on how to accessorize - I loved your post on accessorizing bookshelves, entry tables and mantles (I think it was Pear Tree Cottage). I also love before and afters. Good luck to you and enjoy your holidays and new baby!

You have great taste so I'd suggest the posts reflect things you'd be excited to read about yourself.

How exciting to have another little one on the way...A Christmas Baby, now that is a gift!

i absolutely love your blog! thank you for all that you do.
i think before & afters are so inspiring, and would love to see more of those. also, accessorizing and incorporating color to a space would be particularly interesting to me (i'm in a beige rut!).
best of luck to you and your family this winter--what a happy time!
cheers!

I think that Before & Afters and small DIY projects are the most inspiring.

Good luck with the new baby and I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

How exciting! I love before and afters (although NOTHING can compare to your before/after kitchen!). I also like design ideas/philosophy where they take something and use it a few different places or ways (I'm sure there's a better way to say that).

You'll be in my prayers these last few weeks. Hope all goes well.

I vote for before and afters and design philosophy. Pics and explanations of rooms they've designed, if they're willing to divulge.

I love before and afters. And favorite rooms they have designed would also be a lot of fun!
Can't wait!
By the way, congrats on the baby! My twins were born on Dec 21st and it certainly makes for a very busy, but fun, holiday season!!

Eeek! I saw that photo and thought you'd already had the baby! And then I'm thinking, what in the world are you doing blogging! :0)

I love everything you do, especially coupled with your wonderfully cheery personality. Before and afters are great! As much as I love looking at beautifully styled rooms done on an unlimited budget, it's those "real-life" spaces that are thoughtfully and creatively executed that really get me excited!

I hope you enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy and I know you're gonna love bring a mama of two. Good luck, Lauren!!!

I have always enjoyed whatever you post but I do love the befores and afters. I am always looking for inspiration so they are great. Making nothing look like something is always intriguing. Best wishes for brings 'another one of those' into this world.

I would love to see some ideas on how to spruce up a room on a budget...whether it be paint, wallpaper or pillows? Pics of before and after are great

Would also love to see a post on your style "type". so, if you like ecclectic, show pics of a few different ecclectic style rooms. or if Hollywood regency is your thing, show a few rooms in that style. Just a thought, since everyone has a certain "look" that they like in their homes, but nobody really narrows it down.

good luck! My niece was born on xmas eve :)

I love your blog how it is, so I agree with Janell up there, your taste is the best guide! But I too love the before&afters and favorite rooms with explanations. A few more thoughts...
DIY projects are great.
I'd love to see more simple explainers, like you did with design terms. Maybe something about resources for regular people who cannot get "to the trade" access?
Reader submitted before&afters (that meet your approval, of course), could be interesting.

Congratulations on your growing family!

December will be here before we know it- how exciting!

For your guest bloggers- I love discovering new blogs so for me, it would be nice to see some of their personal style showcased in a post.

Lauren, big congrats to you on the new arrival. So happy for you. And I had to go back & catch up on your kitchen post. It's gorgeous, I love all the little details you put in there. That wallpaper is just so fun with all your black and white. Well done!

I've only been reading for a short while (came across your blog when looking for solid feedback on natural grass rugs - got a jute rug for the DR after reading). What I'd love to see is more information on accessorizing and lighting. I find these to be the two MOST difficult things about decorating a home. As someone due in early February herself - congrats.

Lauren- I can't tell you enough how much I love your blog and the kind of inspiration you're to me. I wish you the best with the baby and please take your time with your family. We'll be waiting for you when you're ready to start blogging 100%. Sorry I've been MIA lately. Guess what? I just got engaged!

I think that sounds like a great idea! I have no idea what blogging is going to be like when the baby arrives, I will be at home with her for over 12 months, so we'll see :)

I do love to read about your decorating ideas, diy and so on.

What a beautiful Christmas gift you'll have. I am interested in different approaches to design but I am sure everything you choose will be great. Take it easy and enjoy the time ahead.
