Love Life.

Simplify your life
Live one day at a time
Less is more
Slow down and take it all in...

Quality over quantity
Forget about the mess sometimes & be happy there's someone there to make it.
Don't worry
Paring down makes you feel free...

Take pleasure in the day to day
Appreciate the little things in life

Find beauty in every day things...
Don't click away the time

You never regret taking the time to do something nice for someone

They grow up before you know it

Keep your goals in mind but don't forget to appreciate what you already have...

Each day is such a gift to us and we should treasure its beauties: nature, our homes, our friends, our families...
Take nothing for granted. You will be happier, I promise.

A little girl drowned in the ocean this week while we were at the beach. I can't imagine how horrible it must be for her family right now & I'm heartbroken for them. Please say a little prayer & remember what's really important in your life. Don't take even one day for granted.

xoxo,

lauren

Beautifully said... We (our town) lost a young boy to the river this year. It was very sad for everyone, the family as well as the area towns.

Well Said. Each day is a gift. We shouldn't need tragedies to remind us.

Love this post, these statements could not be more true!

That is such sad news. Our prayers will definitely be with that little girl's family. With 5 kids, I am always worried about something like that happening to mine. I know I would have no control over it, so I should spend more time on making them feel loved. I think that is the only way I could ever go on if I lost one of them... to know I gave them as much love as I could.

That's truly heartbreaking. It's sad how it takes tragedies to remind us what's really important in our life. Thank you for the beautiful post.

Lauren, I had the WORST day at work, and even before I got to the end of your post, I was so amazed at how much I needed a reminder like this. Thank you. It was just what I needed to put all of the junk into perspective.

Beautiful post. And very thoughtful. It must be so difficult for the parents of that little girl to forgive themselves (guilt is such a large part of accidents like that). Hopefully they'll get the help they need.

What a lovely post. The thought of losing a child makes me feel physically sick. I don't know how you could ever recover from it.

On another note, when my husband proposed to me near Guilin in China, as we took a rest from cycling through the hills on a very hot day, there were tiny little frogs like the one in your picture hopping around. Most distracting. :)

What a sweet post and a terrible story. How devastating - I cannot imagine that grief. And it all happens so fast.

This is my first time to write anything here, really anywhere.... but, felt compeled to add my 2 cents, life is short, as I have very recently been reminded, my thoughts and prayers are with the family. I wanted to let you know Lauren I find so much inspiration from your site and the pictures you post.

My life is in transition at this time, my husband just recently became ill and nearly died, that has spurred both of us to slow down and enjoy life more.

He has taken an early retirement and we are moving to a farmhouse in Michigan, that is how I came upon your site. I was googling "A perfect farmhouse" and you popped up with a house you were considering buying. (on a flood plane.

Our farmhouse is not charming in any way, it was paneled in every room and has drop ceilings. We have gutted the bathroom and gone through many gallons of white paint and tons of beadboard.

I visit your site for ideas and the uplifting pictures of interiors to keep me going.....

Hugs to you, GayLyn

How difficult this week must be for that family.

Your words come right as I was about to start panicking over what is really nothing, so thank you :)
