abc news clip

Things have been pretty busy this past week so I thought I'd share some quick bits about what I've been up to.  Yesterday, I was on abc with DC Design House Advisor Jean Seline to represent the DC Design House on Let's Talk Live:

We had a quick live interview with anchor Melanie Hastings, who made us feel right at home.

I had a little bit of the jitters but the interview was over before I knew it.  You can watch the interview right here: DC DESIGN HOUSE LET'S TALK LIVE

 (When I get nervous, I have the urge to laugh as you'll see right in the beginning...  hahahah why??!!!)

I headed down to High Point, North Carolina, this past weekend and loved what I saw at Market and then returned home for two days of photo shoots with my good friend & photographer Helen Norman and her assistant FJ Hughes.   We shot 4 projects.   Here's a little peek at a recently finished client's kitchen:

{photo by Helen Norman...  who is AMAZING to work with}

Off to get ready for a meeting about a possible (really special) new project...  fingers crossed for me!

xoxo, Lauren

Great job, Lauren! I loved your room the best (although that great room with the high vaulted ceilings was pretty spectacular, too). Your room is cozy, relaxed, but all of the details make it so interesting. Awesome work!

lauren, you were very poised. I like that we got a little glimpse of the room - and I think that green shade on the lamp really knocks it outta the park. donna

Lauren- I watched the interview (you were great!) and the whole house looks just amazing. I can't believe those sky-high beams that were HAND stripped in that great room. All of the designers they showed really transformed their spaces.

Now, YOUR space. My first look at the sunny windowseat and it is heaven, heaven, heaven. Three mattresses? In three gorgeous fabrics? That's the touch that will make your room one that will be referred to again and again, long after this showhouse is over. I cannot wait to see Helen's photos of the space!

Lauren - watched the interview, and you were great! I didn't expect to see photos of your room, but was so excited when I did. It is spectacular, and far outshines the rest of the spaces--seriously. I love the attention to detail, and your inspiration for the space. This room will be a favorite among many who visit the home, I'm sure. Beautifully done.
