Good morning! Ok, so like I mentionioned on Friday, I'm attempting to be back on track with the "Pure Organization" Projects Series! (which I'm now calling "Pure Projects" because not all will be organization :)
{Just as a reminder, in case you're a new reader or forgot (it's been a few months! ;) every Monday I'll be blogging about a little project we can do to get organized, make things better, prettier or more fun. It's my way of holding myself accountable (or attempting to) and I thought it might be fun for us to do this stuff together. So, if you want to join in, I'm using Mr.Linky at the end of this post and you just have to click on the little link at the bottom of this post and link up to your actual post.)
This week's project is to pick flowers and/ or greenery (either on a walk, or from your yard or from a nice neighbor's yard) and put them on your table to enjoy... Just a little simple, free way to add a little beauty to your meals. Here's a picture of some zinnias I plucked from our (very weed-infested) garden:
They just make me happy. I love having a small arrangement on our kitchen table so we don't have to move it at meal times. (When the table somehow always gets trashed... Washing ours off after dinner yesterday it looked like a little food battle had taken place...) Anyway, hope you had a great weekend & that you'll join us today with some hand-picked pretties!!

As a decorator & a textile designer, this is my place to muse... perfection doesn't interest me; Reality and charm do. Fresh floppy flowers from the garden over long-stemmed roses any day, I love it when things are slightly off and tell a story.

I wish I had pretty flowers like these in my yard, well actually I wish I even had a yard :)
Thanks for the inspiration Lauren, I went out and cut some greens from our yard to add some life and color to our space.

I think that pop of red next to your black and white wallpaper is great inspiration for your new textile business.
Mine's not a new bouquet but one I did a few weeks ago. It is, however, entirely picked from my also-very-weedy garden.
I'm not sure I could tolerate picking a bouquet these days ... the mosquitos are out of control!

I MISS my zinnias. Your photo is beautiful! Since we just moved, we missed out on our garden this year...weeds are all we have. (sniff, sniff) So I have resorted to "borrowing"...--Gretchen O

Nothing makes me happier than bringing in flowers from the yard! I planted gladiolus bulbs this year and have been enjoying them inside for several weeks now. I've linked up - thanks for sharing!
Hey Lauren! Love your zinnias. Wish I had some real flowers this year. A couple of long trips out of town, and the hottest/dryest summer in years just doesn't add up to much success in the garden. Good thing I'm not above clipping bushes and calling it an arrangement ;) Whatever works, right??? Thanks for the project post!

I'm a little late, but as soon as I saw your beautiful flowers in your post, I ran outside into our garden and snipped off a lovely hydrangea to display in our dining room. Love the series...can't wait to see what's next!
I also participated and made up two little vases of flowers for the house. Zinnias, too. Very sweet and pretty. Just didn't feel like taking photo, blogging, linking etc. :)
I love this idea. I ran out and cut some daisies yesterday. They are helping to keep Summer alive here. Thank you, Lauren for the push!
