I am so excited about this 19th Century Barley Twist table I found for some of my clients!! As I've mentioned, I'm really trying to focus on creating spaces for clients that feel as if they've been created over time and that are truly personal. When I saw this table, (at an insanely good price!!!) I immediately thought of a young couple I'm working with & sent them photos. They loved it & I snapped it up!! It's inset with what looks to be a hand hooked Coat of Arms on the bottom and a Family Crest with two lions on the top preserved under glass. The fabric is so old it's actually deteriorating but it's just so beautiful & detailed and has so much character. I love it so much I want to keep it... and that's when you know it was a good find ;) ;)

Lauren, that's a beautiful little table! It's so great that you have a client who wants to use things you yourself love enough to keep.
Ooh, that is a fabulous find, no wonder you'd love to keep it yourself!

It's truly beautiful. Love finds $like that. Went flea marketing last weekend, and got some great bargains, but nothing as valuable as that beautiful little thing :)
A gorgeous find indeed...I would have been tempted to keep it for myself lol x
Love that!. I think a room that evolves with pieces collected over time have so much character, and this piece will add so much.

What an amazing find - I too love the collected over time look.
Very cool find; looks like it would be a really expensive piece. Love that collected-over-time look.
What a very unique table. I haven't seen the inset like that before. Very special, and your clients are lucky that you have such a great eye!

Barley twist reminds me of bonnie ole' England...and love the crest. Your clients are lucky to have you out scouting for them!

Well, are you going to share where you got it?? Totally jealous.
That table is the bomb!
I like the idea of making the room design look like it was done over several years of collecting. There's something really cozy and homey about that whole asthetic. Kind of "Sister Parish-esque". If you know what I mean!

I found it at the German Antiques Shop in Leesburg, VA. looove that place!!

Definitely a great find! Lucky clients!
barley twist tables are so traditional and old school around my parts, but I still love them...they are one of the few 'traditional' items we do well with in our shop at the beach
