I normally don't do food posts, but sometimes something's just too good & too easy not to share.
The other night we made these amazing Peanut Butter & Banana Smoothies. (We were trying to copy one we'd just had a smoothie place in IL.) We used (reduced fat) peanut butter and (low fat) frozen yogurt (to pretend we were being healthy) and some bananas.
They were SOOOOOO good that I broke out the margarita glasses (haven't been used in a while sadly) and Christian even got one!! (he drank from the little matching shot glass and was delighted until he spilled it all over.) Thought I'd include a pic to show you how much better his nose is looking!!!

Lauren- these sound amazing! I will have to try! I just love peanut butter shakes, so this is definitely going to be yummy! :) Looks like your little guy was in heaven too! :) So cute!
Lauren, Christian is such a cutie!! His nose looks just fine from this angle :). Peanut butter and banana as a combo is something I would never have thought of myself... Maybe we should try it, it looks delish! Indie is a huge fan of smoothies, love finding out about new receipes! A healthy and yummy tip is to use low fat vanilla yoghurt, it tastes amazing!!
Looks YUM! We love smoothies here...love using frozen fruits and regular yogurt.
PB and Banana on whole wheat is my all time fave sandwich...just made one for my daughter for school this am!!
I adore pb & banana sandwiches, but not sure how I would feel about it in a smoothie! Interesting!! Glad your having a delightful vacation.
YUM! I've made a version of this before, but with chocolate yogurt (ice cream) - I love banana, PB and Choco together - delish!
I love that your little boy got his own mini-glass! :)

mmm, these sound really good- I might have to try some when I get home :)
Smoothies are surprising! A friend of mine offered to make me a smoothie at her house. She threw in cucumber, broccoli, spinach, apple and a little pineapple juice. It was green, green, green and totally delicious!!!
I LOVE PB & Banana. Will def have to try these.
Christian is too cute!
Okay, you are so adorable! And of course, so is your little angel. I'm so happy his nose looks like any other little darling one might see at the beach!!

It doesn't sound good, but I bet it is! Thanks for sharing!
OMG yum! luurrve banana smoothies but am totally prepared to add peanut butter too!
So good to see the little guy is recovering so nicely!
Please go so easy on the peanut butter when you are pregnant. I had gestational diabetes and to get more protein I ate peanut butter, a lot. My daughter, now 4, was born with peanut allergy. They say there is not connection, but I avoided it with baby number 2 and she's fine.
Sounds awesome. What are the measurements though?
Ok so silly me didn't put amounts or ratios becuase I'm more "a little of this and a little bit of that" type of a cook.... But let's try this: (This is for 2 or so ppl)
-2 bananas
-3-4 scoops of frozen yogurt
-a Big handful of ice cubs
-1/4 - 1/2 cup pf milk depending upon how liquidy you like it
-4 big scoops of peanut butter from a regular size spoon
good luck!!
xoxo,
lauren
