When we decided to move unexpectedly a few weeks ago, we were in a rush to put our house on the market. Every little item on our "eventual" To Do List happened in the spane of 10 days... SO I have a few projects to share with you!
A year or so ago, we took out this curtained pantry....
...which had THIS scary mess hiding behind it...
...and popped in some new cabinetry one Sunday...
And we lived with it painted for a while with a plywood top, not even installed. It made our kitchen SO much more functional and I loved it, but it needed to be finished. Enter last minute house sale and CarrMichael Construction , a butcher block top, and hardware and we got this:
I'm so happy with it and will get to enjoy it for one more month before saying goodbye.
Thanks so much to everyone for all the decluttering tips & tricks!! If you haven't had the chance to read the previous post's comments, check them out for lots of great ideas. We have ZERO accessible in- house storage in our new house (other than an attic and a teensy spot in our laundry room... no joke, we don't even have a LINEN CLOSET!!) so I will be putting every decluttering tip I can to the test!!

Wow! This looks fabulous! I love the butcher block!
I must go back and look again at more of the decluttering tips.
Have a great day, Elizabeth
It looks so good!! Good luck with your move!!
I love it!!
It looks so good and I like that you use white too, so it makes the green color contrast nicely :)
Our 1922 bungalow doesn't have a linen closet or a coat closet. When I first realized this, before we actually made an offer on the house, I thought, "How can I have a home without linen and coat closets?" I'm here to tell you it can be done. I've learned that our small house forces us to have less stuff. It's actually a good thing.
Your pantry solution is a great one and very attractive. The new owners will enjoy it, I'm sure!

We've just moved to a house with NO storage either! My mother says the architects/builders do it to save money. (??) This is why women need to build houses, not men - so we have linen cupboards, and proper closets!
We've used wicker baskets as coffee tables (great for storing DVDs/mags), and painted old chests of drawers matt black, which look great with framed photos perched on top of them.
Look forward to seeing your beautiful new home. I'm sure you'll come up with some great ideas to hide everything.

Oh that looks wonderful! I love the butcher block, it looks like it was always meant to be there. Isn't that the perfect sign when you get something just right?
Storage cabinets like this is good for pantry and as food storage. Beautiful and simple in design.
