Peanut Butter Christmas Cookies in the Kitchen!

This year we had so much fun baking Christmas cookies!  Christian is at an age (2 1/2) where he loves helping & doing projects.  Our kitchen's working really well for us...

...  and as you can see from the pics below, Christian was THRILLED   to help bake cookies for our friends. (when we were rolling the cookies into balls he couldn't stop giggling)

Here he is below with the peanut butter cookies all laid out in nice rows, waiting patiently after being told he STILL can't eat them...

And finally, our work paid off!!!  (We have a HUGE stock of Hershey bars in the pantry from s'more season leftover so we used chocolate bar pieces instead of hershey kisses.)  And mm mm mm!!  We gave out the cookies to family friends and of course had to keep a few for ourselves ;)  It's the little simple things about Christmas that make it so special & fun.

We had a huge snowstorm here in Northern Virginia this weekend & school's been cancelled, so my husband is totally OFF for Christmas now!!  Still no baby but I'll keep you posted!!  Wishing you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS & Happy Holidays!!!

xoxo,
lauren

Sooooo cute! Everytime I see your home I love it but your little boy is precious also. Great idea to use the squares instead of hershey kisses.

I still have my baking to do. I need a snowstorm to get me in the mood. Chicago didn't get any snow over the weekend.
I have my fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle for you guys.
Have a great holiday!

I have such wonderful memories of baking in the kitchen with my girls around Christmas time. Love the Hershey piece. We've done that with rolo's too and they are delicious! Enjoy!

What is the story behind the chalkboard ice box? Did you just paint it with chalkboard paint or what? nancy

Yum, I will check my mailbox to see if mine arrived. haha. I know, I could make my own.

Awesome that Dave is off early. Cookie baking day looks so fun - your son is ADORABLE. My gosh - he looks like your child totally and is cute as a button and looks like he is a little character too. :)

Good luck with baby time!

Glad that the snow is over but what excitement for you guys! Last week we had a ton of snow in Calgary (been having lots of storms) and the Fire Dept delivered a baby in an SUV stuck in traffic...! If I ever get pregnant, I will do it in the Fall so I am not delivering in winter haha!
