I just can't get over that window & view (above)!!!! Browsing around the internet I came across the work of Stephen Knollenberg. He has a firm with offices in both DC & South Carolina & I'm loving everything I'm seeing. I've got a crazy day ahead of me & have to run but here's some eye candy...
I just love the feeling in all of his spaces...
The weather vanes below remind me of one my grandparents have in their family room...
He uses lots of neutrals which (surprise surprise!) I love...
Below is another amazing window, I'm guessing in the same house...

Beautiful. He totally looks your style. I can see why you feel in love with him. Room after room just kept getting more and more amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat river rock fireplace is DIVINE!
ReplyDeleteLove all of these! Especially that unique desk chair!
ReplyDeleteWow totally stunning! And I too was struck by the first image you posted! Even the throw on the bed (which usually never works in a photo) looks good here!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great post Lauren!

lovely! I hadn't heard of him. love all of this lighting -- that big lantern especially! might have to steal that one.
ReplyDeleteand the foliage -- ha! we don't have the pretty tropical stuff, but gardening isn't so much gardening to me as it is constant weeding. sheesh.
They're very sophisticated spaces and I actually think they're very you. Each room is so elegant and perfectly balanced. I love the one with the piano - that textured wall is really intriguing. I wonder what it is? And boy oh boy, are those windows spectacular!
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot to tell you that I've reissued my One Picture Challenge and as one of the original brave souls so I'd love for you to participate when you have time. Remember what torture - I mean fun - it was the first time? ;) xoxo, ALEK
Ooooooh. I'd like me a little of all of the above please.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
I can see why you like his style Lauren...it's so you...I love it!

ReplyDeleteEverything is so neat and clean without being cold. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love the lack of clutter- it's so refreshing here... and that window in the first image is absolutely amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, his work has a really beautiful aesthetic to it. Can definitely see a little bit of Lauren in there!!! :) Hope things are going great! We finally delivered the dining room table to get painted, and I chose the color from a swatch, which I normally never do (I always test them out first). So kind of nervous but super excited at the same time!! :)
ReplyDeleteBig hug!
Your pix always make me want to make my whole house white! Love the elegance, yet simplicity! And...I want that first window (and view)!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Love him! And I'm with you - that window is amazing!
ReplyDeleteSimple but stunning design! I love the green velvet sofa in one of the middle photos! Tracey xx
ReplyDeleteLauren,
ReplyDeleteMaria sent me over to view your latest find. Oh my goddness, i love how this designer couples bold & delicate pieces next to each other. Very soothing with the unexpected.
What a nice post Lauren. Always good to see what you're up to.

I can't blame you for loving the work of this designer - like others have said, he's totally channeling your style! ;-) I LOVE the soft white/cream/light-beige neutrals he uses in abundance counter-balanced with touches of dark furniture, floors and/or window frames and hits of texture. Thanks for sharing!

what a great way for me to start the day.....love them all !!!
ReplyDeletekind of has a Daryl Carter thing going on (which is a good thing!). I LOVE fireplaces in bathrooms, I think it's about the most over-the-top luxurious thing you could build into a home!
ReplyDeleteMmm - wonderful that Stephen Knollenberg. So many incredible things to admire. The windows, fireplace, beautiful lighting, and I love the neutrals. Especially when there is a huge picture window to look out of for colour!
