He's already schooled me on the six lessons of a buyer's market.

1. We will underbid every house.
2. Do not fall in love with any house. We are looking for an amazing deal in an amazing location.
3. If we get an amazing deal, we can turn the house into one that you will love (because we will have more $$).
4. We will underbid every house.
5. If they say no to our bid, we can always go back with something higher. It's still going to be way under their asking price.
6. I'm sending ...oh sweetie this is a tough situation. I'm sending happy thoughts your way! I hope all goes as planned and they accept your offer.

We had a similiar situation to one you are in now. The house had been on the market for months and they had rejected a bunch of offers. The day we went we were told that if we offered 10,000 less than the asking that they would probably accept it. Well of course someone else was interested in the house and bid the same day we did. Our realtor went to the home owner and told them we were a new married couple, we wanted to start a family, we loved the home. When the other person looking into buying the home wanted to knock it down! So due to some begging from the our agent we eventually got the house, but had to go up 5,000.

Call me if you want to vent/chat/discuss. I can't wait to hear what happens. Fingers and toes are crossed for you!High-Heeled Foot in the doorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16510460239869884038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8030308239398272700.post-78265713508348914612009-03-16T13:00:00.000-04:002009-03-16T13:00:00.000-04:00i agree with completely coastal. that said though....i agree with completely coastal. that said though..if deeeeeeep down you really feel this is your house and there is a sense of comfort about you then trust that it will be yours and let the universe work it out.MFAMBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01306236596066786755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8030308239398272700.post-10702520648168849202009-03-16T12:58:00.000-04:002009-03-16T12:58:00.000-04:00Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!!! I think when buying a home, you have to be willing to walk away from it, and believe that there is an even better one out there!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
