I LOVE window ...so wonderful about your fabrics!!!

I LOVE window boxes. So afraid I will kill the plants. My challenge would be watering them since I can't get to them from the inside {our 180 yr. old house has interior storm windows on the inside so we didn't have to get rid of the old wavy glass windows}... but the front of our house is just begging for them. Don't you think??

this post made me smile; I have 2 boys and one is Christian.

hugs!
- {darlene} @ fieldstone hill design{darlene} @ fieldstonehillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10054774466312858778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8030308239398272700.post-87499364319752903962011-09-12T09:05:24.073-04:002011-09-12T09:05:24.073-04:00Property Management Albany and Commercial Brokerag...Property Management Albany and Commercial Brokerage With offices in Syracuse and Rochester, NY, we work with many developers and corporations in locations throughout Central and Upstate, NYLuckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10184759322124630728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8030308239398272700.post-64296838317465223812011-09-10T21:40:36.964-04:002011-09-10T21:40:36.964-04:00Love the idea of ferns in window boxes... perfect ...Love the idea of ferns in window boxes... perfect timing since I just purchased a dozen or so 'Autumn Ferns' from my local Wal-Mart on clearance. I'm not sure how well they would do staying in the window boxes over the winter here in good ole' Missouri. I might would have to over-winter them in our garage. Just had a brainy idea - could buy extra liners (on clearance also) and switch out liners leaving the ferns planted and intact... that way could decorate the boxes for winter and then pop the ferns back in their place next spring :)Hannah F.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14589816430686906458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8030308239398272700.post-976606673813840212011-09-10T18:08:05.430-04:002011-09-10T18:08:05.430-04:00Love the term "plant hospice". (did a post on them recently).....my favorite fern is "Autumn Fern"...it is not deciduous...the new growth is copper (fab color next to your house) that turns a pleasant green...they get huge...so not really appropriate for your window boxes, but would look great in your foundation plantings to tie in the "boxes" and have a bit of green in the winter while the other shrubs are dormant. Have a great weekend...kKathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02296124850643056197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8030308239398272700.post-54299767252225411282011-09-09T14:32:56.564-04:002011-09-09T14:32:56.564-04:00hey old man, i can't wait to see the helen nor...hey old man, i can't wait to see the helen norman photo shoot pictures. she is sooo good and your designs and your family are lovely, so i know the photos will be FAB! love the duvet cover idea. make me one too, ok? haha.

by the way, that soup looks great and i am printing out the recipe for my file (i like easy). your photo was great - i wanted to eat it!

by the way, we are whipping through DC in two weeks time but i have not told anyone as we are pretty booked up (it is a civil war trip for david's birthday). we will be back next year so i will try to see you then. i am meeting pat (pat's addition) in alexandria on friday, sept.30 for lunch, but i assume you work that day, but if you are around....!!!!!

otherwise i promise to visit next year and make time for bloggy friends...

xox terriWindlosthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17014227226507484798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8030308239398272700.post-14338594858448349912011-09-09T13:38:19.055-04:002011-09-09T13:38:19.055-04:00"Mommy runs a plant hospice" made me lau..."Mommy runs a plant hospice" made me laugh. :)Fionahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04175988518794409281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8030308239398272700.post-11768501281327496272011-09-09T11:25:46.664-04:002011-09-09T11:25:46.664-04:00Awww!
